About Compass Health

For 100 years, Compass Health has been providing hope and treatment for children, families and adults who suffer from mental illness. Our caring, professional counselors provide knowledge and expertise in the treatment of mental illnesses and can help individuals cope with the stress of everyday life. Our goal is to help peopleFamily stay in their home and in their community, surrounded by family and friends who can support them during difficult times.

Mental illness is not a myth. It is a medical condition no less than heart disease or diabetes. It is as real as cancer and much more common. Mental Illness strikes the young and the old, the rich and the poor. Some sort of mental disorder afflicts more than one in five Americans in the course of a lifetime. It goes by many names: schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorders, just to name a few.

There is a stigma about mental illness--a misconception some people have that it is not a treatable disease--and that people who have a mental illness cannot be helped; that is absolutely not true. Proper diagnosis and treatment can mean the difference between living a life of despair and a life of hope.

Whether you are experiencing severe depression, have a child who is acting out, have problems communicating with your family, or are grieving over the loss of someone close to you, Compass Health can help you. You don't need to face your problems alone, let us give you the support and tools to get you back on the road to a healthy, productive life.
