Children’s Hospitalization Alternative Program (CHAP)
CHAP provides intensive services for children with significant mental health needs. CHAP may be provided in-home with a child's family, or with a child in therapeutic foster care. The CHAP team uses a strength-based approach to develop an individualized plan with each family. Services include intensive case management, individual and family therapy, coordination with schools and other community partners, psychiatric services, and 24-hour crisis response and outreach.
The long-term goal of CHAP is to stabilize a child in their community and ensure safety in the family home. This service is available in Snohomish and Island Counties.
