Federal Block Grant (FBG)
The goal of the program is to promote recovery and resiliency by assisting low income individuals who are in acute care settings or who are homeless and at risk for hosptialization, incarceration, or recurrent crisis episodes. The FBG program provides pre-treatment services to adults with no Medicaid funding who are in need of mental health treatment and other services. Individuals are often referred to the program prior to being discharged from an inpatient hospital/unit. These services are provided in Snohomish and Skagit Counties.
Services provided may include stabilization services, assistance in applying for Medicaid or other benefits, linkages to ongoing care in the community as needed, access to psychiatric assessment and medication management as needed.
