Meeting the Complex Needs of Children
Children with complex mental health needs often present a challenge to their parents, teachers, and other community members. Compass Health staff enable children, youth, and their families to master those challenges and improve the quality of their life. The key to our success is the ability to partner with the family and other community organizations to focus on the needs of the children and the family.
We can help if you:
- have a child or youth with complex social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties at home, school, or in the community
- are struggling to cope with the maze of community services
- need support to improve the quality of your family life
Child and adolescent behavioral health specialists are available to share their expertise with your family. Our services may include one or all of the following:
- individual, group, or family counseling and service coordination provided at home, school, or in the community
- groups which address specific needs such as conflict resolution, social skills, anxiety, and depression
- in-home parent training and support
- child and family teams to assist families in coordinating other community services
Specialized foster care for children and adolescents who are seriously emotionally disturbed. Its goal is to keep families together whenever possible, and provide an alternative to hospitalization for those children who are unable to remain at home. For more information, call:
