Crisis Response Services

Compass Health's Crisis Services are part of the Integrated Crisis Response System. Our Crisis Services team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and serves adults, and children who are in crisis. Voluntary services are provided throughout Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties. Compass Health County Designated Mental Health Professionals (CDMPs) can detain consumers under the Washington state Involuntary Treatment Act in Island, San Juan, and Skagit Counties. In Snohomish County, CDMPs are provided by Snohomish County Human Services.

Crisis Services are provided regardless of a client’s ability to pay, although private insurance will be billed if available.

We can help if you:

  • are afraid you might hurt yourself or someone else

  • are in crisis and need someone to talk to

  • have a friend or family member who is in crisis and needs help

The Integrated Crisis Response System offers:

  • telephone consultation through Volunteers of America's Care Crisis Line

  • next day and walk-in appointments

  • community outreach (home, school, hospital, nursing facility, or other mutually acceptable safe location)

  • short term, in-home crisis services

  • referral to other community resources such as educational classes, support groups or ongoing mental health services
