Internships
Compass Health frequently has internship opportunities available in a wide variety of programs which can provide a broad range of experience, diverse challenges, and sound professional preparation. Under the guidance of qualified and credentialed supervisors, our interns participate in meaningful and practical internships designed to further learning goals and professional development.
Examples of the types of programs include:
-
Child & Family Outpatient:
Traditional counseling services for children, youth, and families. Office based services may include individual, family, and group.
-
Child & Family Intensive Outpatient:
Multi-disciplinary teams serve children, youth and families with complex system involvement. Services are primarily provided in client’s home or other community settings. Services are based on the Wraparound model.
-
Adult Outpatient:
Traditional counseling services for adults and older adults. Office based services may include individual, case management, and group.
-
Adult Intensive Outpatient:
Multi-disciplinary teams serve adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions. Services are delivered with greater frequency than Adult Outpatient and primarily in the client’s home or other community settings. Treatment models include Assertive Community Treatment along with other evidence based practices such as Illness Management and Recovery.
-
Crisis Response & Stabilization:
Mobile crisis outreach teams serve individuals of all ages in the community who are in acute crisis. Brief interventions, safety planning and short-term follow up are provided. Services are typically community-based.
-
Facility-Based Programs:
Compass Health offers Residential treatment, Triage, and Evaluation and Treatment Center (inpatient) services for adults with significant mental health needs. Treatment is team-based in a facility and is either short term (Triage, E&T) or longer term (Residential).
