Clients may struggle  with conflicts with co-workers, family and friends. Take this course to hone and develop skills to understand how to support clients no matter their age or intellectual challenges. Gain a toolbox loaded with ideas and activities to have difficult concepts broken down into simple explanations. Receive instruction and do exercises to understand the roots of anger and develop the skills to successfully deal with anger. This workshop will show you what your clients learn attending the full day Anger Management Class.

Participants will:

  • Gain a better understanding of emotions
  • Be able to evaluate patterns of expressing anger and the underlying emotions
  • Identify learned patterns of behavior
  • Be able to identify triggers and sources of anger
  • Receive worksheets and handouts to use with clients

About the presenter:

Rick Pribbernow has more than 20 years of experience providing life skills training to adults, families, and children. He holds degrees in education, curriculum development, and counseling. His unique presentation style is both creative and interactive. Rick has the ability to quickly communicate difficult concepts in simple ways. He helps individuals get in touch with their feelings, and teaches simple guidelines for understanding and effectively dealing with those emotions.

Who should attend this class?

This course is for those who work with children, adults, and older adults struggling with anger and other emotions. As well as, those who are interested in learning coping skills to overcome anger, and those who want to learn tools which they can share with the families with whom they work. This course is open Compass Health workforce members and NSBHO providers.

3 Continuing Education Credits from NASW WA: Licensed Social Workers, Marriage/Family Counselors, and Mental Health Counselors.

As the class begins promptly, please arrive ten minutes early. Those who arrive late may be asked to leave without a refund or credit.

Those who stay to the end of class will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates will not be issued to those leaving early.

Electronic confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of payment. After registration is received, an Outlook Invitation with details and the exact location will be sent. Accept the invitation and we will know you are coming. If you have paid and do not receive an Outlook Invitation in three to five days, please contact us. We do not allow drop-ins.

Please contact the Training Department at least ten days prior to the training if you have a disability or require special accommodations.

Cancellations must be emailed and received no later than seven days prior to the event. No refund or credit will be made after that date without prior approval. If we cancel the training, registrants will be offered the next class or a full refund.
