Pride 2024 at Compass Health

This June, Compass Health commemorated Pride in the communities we’re proud to serve. From Whatcom to Snohomish, and from Island to San Juan Counties, our team attended festivals and parades to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Here’s a look at Pride Month festivities across Northwest Washington:

Everett Pride

Downtown Everett was abuzz with excitement on June 15 for the Second Annual Everett Pride Block Party, and our Compass Health team enjoyed every minute of it! A record-breaking crowd turned out for this year’s event, and the love and support for our LGBTQIA+ community members was palpable. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Orcas Island Pride

This year’s celebration was the biggest Orcas Island Pride has seen, and we’re thankful to have been a part of such a memorable day with our community! We appreciate everyone who took a second to stop by our booth, say hello, and talk about mental health with us – we enjoyed connecting with and sharing meaningful conversations with so many people. Thank you to Orcas Island Pride for creating a safe space for queer thriving!

San Juan Pride

If you were at the San Juan Pride Festival on June 15 at Brickworks, you probably saw Compass Health there – our table was beautifully decorated, thanks to our awesome colleagues! We had an amazing time connecting with community members, sharing information about our services, and learning more about resources available for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. It was incredible to see all the ways that San Juan Island comes together to create pathways of understanding and support for all those who call it home.

South Whidbey Pride Parade and Celebration

On June 22, members of the Compass Health team gathered at the South Whidbey Community Center for the South Whidbey Pride Parade and Celebration. In addition to enjoying some terrific live music and food truck fare, we saw many familiar faces and had the chance to meet many new friends, connecting with folks on what self-care means to them and why it’s important.

Whatcom Pride Events

Our team in Whatcom was especially busy during Pride, celebrating at Whatcom Youth Pride on June 1 and at Pride in Bellingham on July 6 and 7! Both events are highly anticipated and bring together thousands of kids and adults to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and raise awareness about resources available to ensure all who call Whatcom County home feel safe and supported. We really enjoyed watching the parade at Whatcom Youth Pride and enjoying some sunshine with folks at Pride in Bellingham – all while passing out stickers galore to all in attendance!
