What are Housing services?
Compass Health currently provides affordable housing assistance to more than 500 individuals throughout Snohomish, Skagit, and Island Counties. Most of the housing supports those who have a chronic mental illness and are experiencing homelessness.
Who do Housing services serve?
Housing services are available to adults 18 years of age and who meet the funder eligibility; primarily single adults, although there are some resources available for families with children.
Approach to program
We are able to provide safe and affordable housing in a variety of ways, through ownership and management of houses and apartment complexes, sponsorship of subsidies such as Shelter Plus Care and Section 8, and collaborations with area Housing Authorities and other housing providers. By providing safe and affordable housing, individuals can focus more fully on symptom management and daily living skills, rather than whether they will be spending the night on the street or in an unhealthy or stressful environment.
Goal of Housing services
By eliminating housing barriers, clients can focus on other areas of their life they want to work and improve on.
