Change Lives. Foster Parent.

Help a child thrive.

You can make a difference in the life of a child by opening your caring and supportive home.

Compass Health’s therapeutic foster care program serves children who have behavioral health challenges, often resulting from abuse and/or neglect. Compass Health provides specialized foster care to children and adolescents, from ages six to seventeen.

Foster parents are provided with initial and ongoing training, and are supported by a team of Compass Health professionals. An individualized treatment plan is developed to address the full spectrum of the child’s needs and implemented in a team approach. Our foster parents are essential team members that provide stability, understanding, and care for the child.

What is Therapeutic Foster Parenting?

Therapeutic Foster Parents make a positive impact by providing round-the-clock care for a child in their home. The program is family-based, blending intensive therapy and family living skills.

Another option in becoming a Foster Parent is providing respite care, where Foster Parents watch a child as little as one weekend a month, can add additional weekends with other children, or can schedule weekdays, if they wish. More than a babysitter, respite care providers give parents a much needed break and help to stabilize children.
