- As the class begins promptly, please arrive ten minutes early. Those who arrive late may be asked to leave without receiving credit. Those who stay to the end of class will receive a certification card. Cards will not be issued to those leaving early.
- Electronic confirmation will be sent upon completion of the RSVP form. After registration is received, an Outlook Invitation with details and the exact location will be sent. Accept the invitation and we will know you are coming. If you do not receive an Outlook Invitation in three to five days, please contact us. We do not allow drop-ins.
- Please contact the LTD at least ten days prior to the training if you require special accommodations.
- Your program will be charged for missed attendance or a materials fee for last minute excused absence.

Adult: First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification

This class meets the Washington State Health and Safety Standards.
The Adult CPR Certification provides lifesaving skills for cardiac arrest emergencies. CPR includes chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. First Aid training prepares people to respond quickly to common medical emergencies such as sudden illnesses, cuts and burns and more. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used when a life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia leads to cardiac arrest. AED stimulates an electrical pulse through the heart.
Participants will:
- Attend this combined 4 hour class and learn First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Earn a 2- year completion card through ASHI, American Health and Safety Institute
- Class includes the training guide, student CPR/First Aid training kit, key chain CPR mask
About the instructor:
Crystal Thompson graduated from AMU with a master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Business Administration. She began her career in the military and eventually broke into the mental health corridor in 2017. She has been involved in multiple teams within Compass Health including Crisis Services, Outpatient and Learning, Training and Department.
