Resources provided will focus on Northwest Washington.
Sometimes first aid isn’t a bandage, or CPR, or calling 911. Sometimes first aid is YOU.
A young person you know could be experiencing a mental health or substance use problem. Learn an action plan to help.
Anyone 18 or older can take Youth Mental Health First Aid, but it is recommended for those who regularly have contact with young people 12-18 – teachers, coaches, social workers, faith leaders and other caring citizens.

Class Details
Please note: This course is valued at $170. Compass Health has funded community courses and offers a reduced rate.
- Arrival Time:
- Please arrive 10 minutes early. Classes start promptly. Late arrivals may be turned away without a refund or credit.
- Certificates:
- Certificates will be issued only to participants who stay until the end of class.
- Certificates will not be issued to those who leave early.
- Confirmation:
- After registering, you will receive an Outlook calendar invitation with class details.
- Please accept the invitation to confirm your attendance.
- If you do not receive an invitation within 3–5 business days, contact us.
- Drop-ins are not permitted.
- Special Accommodations:
- Contact the Learning, Training, and Development Department at LTD@compassh.org at least 10 days prior to the training if accommodations are needed.
- Cancellations:
- Cancellation requests must be emailed and received at least 7 days before the event.
- If Compass Health cancels a class, registered participants will be offered a seat in the next available session or a refund.
