Mental Health Awareness Month: Snohomish County Spotlight 

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re proud to spotlight Snohomish County and the wide range of care and support happening across this region.

This year’s theme, “More Good Days” Together, invites us to reflect on what a good day looks like for ourselves, our clients, and our communities, and how connection, creativity, and care play a role in that. 

Community Snapshot: Snohomish County 

Snohomish County is our largest and most diverse footprint. Across the county, Compass Health supports approximately 7,372 clients annually with a team of 442 staff working across multiple locations. 

Services in Snohomish County span the full continuum of behavioral health care, including: 

  • Adult and youth outpatient and intensive outpatient programs 
  • Inpatient psychiatric treatment
  • Crisis-level care and stabilization 
  • Residential treatment 
  • Permanent supportive housing 
  • Integrated medical services 

Together, these teams support individuals and families at every stage of care. Let’s take a closer look at the Compass Health sites serving Snohomish County and the programs offered at each location. 

The Marc Healing Center 

The Marc Healing Center provides intensive and crisis-level behavioral health care for adults, including: 

  • Floor 1: AIMS & AIR 
  • Floor 2: PACT 
  • Floor 3: Evaluation & Treatment (E&T) 
  • Floor 4: Crisis Triage & Stabilization Unit 
  • Integrated Medical Services 
  • On-site pharmacy support 

In addition to clinical and medical teams, the Marc Healing Center is supported every day by a dedicated group of behind-the-scenes staff who help keep the building running and welcoming. This includes a building manager, security guards, kitchen staff, and facilities support, all working together to ensure the space is safe, responsive, and functional 24/7. 

Together, these teams bring the Marc Healing Center to life each day, supporting 24/7 crisis response, stabilization, and connection to next step services for individuals experiencing acute mental health needs. 

Andy’s Place 

Located on the Broadway Campus, Andy’s Place provides 82 units of permanent supportive housing (PSH). This site supports individuals with complex behavioral health needs by offering stable housing alongside coordinated services that promote long-term stability, recovery, and connection to care. 

Together, the buildings on the Broadway Campus allow Compass Health to support individuals across crisis, treatment, and housing needs through coordinated, campus-based care. 

Housing in Snohomish County

In addition to Andy’s Place, Compass Health operates and supports housing across Snohomish County, providing stable, affordable options for individuals connected to behavioral health services. These housing sites play a critical role in supporting long-term recovery, stability, and connection to community. Here is a look at our full housing footprint in the county:

Colby Site – Everett, WA 

The Colby Site supports ongoing outpatient and medical services for adults and children including: 

  • Adult Outpatient Services (Colby 4th floor)
  • Psychiatric services and CAP (Colby 3rd floor)

Teams at this site provide counseling, care coordination, and medication support to help individuals remain connected to care in their community.

Dawson Place- Everett, WA

The CAP team based at Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center serves children and adolescents serves youth up to age 22 who have experienced sexual or physical abuse or other trauma, and their non-offending family members. (see Community Partnership Highlight below). 

Lynnwood – Adult Outpatient (Upper Floor) 

The upper floor of the Lynnwood site is home to Adult Outpatient Services, providing counseling, care coordination, and ongoing behavioral health support for adults in south Snohomish County. The site also includes a medical provider and Medical Assistant, bringing integrated medical services directly to clients alongside their behavioral health care. This site focuses on helping individuals maintain stability and access treatment through outpatient care in their community.

Lynnwood – Child and Family Outpatient (Lower Floor) 

The lower floor of the Lynnwood site houses Child and Family Outpatient Services and the Child Advocacy Program (CAP), supporting children, youth, and families through individual and family therapy, care coordination, and developmentally appropriate behavioral health services. While located in the same building as adult services, this program operates independently to ensure a welcoming and focused environment for children and families. Medical services are also available at this site. Medical providers sees child clients three days per week, and a Medical Assistant is on-site one day per week to support ongoing care coordination.

Aurora House 

Aurora House, located in Edmonds, is a Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) serving adults with significant behavioral health needs. The program provides structured, supportive residential care designed to promote stabilization, recovery, and readiness for the next step in treatment within the broader continuum of care. 

Monroe – WISe Site 

The Monroe site is home to WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) and the Child Advocacy Program (CAP), both focused on meeting the needs of children, youth, and families in the community.

WISe teams provide intensive, community-based, family-driven services for youth with complex behavioral health needs, working closely with families, schools, and community partners. A key part of this model includes access to psychiatric services, supporting thorough assessment, medication evaluation, and ongoing coordination of care when clinically appropriate.

Psychiatric providers partner closely with WISe teams to help stabilize symptoms, support treatment planning, and adjust care as youth and families’ needs change over time. This integrated approach allows teams to respond quickly, reduce barriers to care, and support youth in remaining connected to their homes, schools, and communities whenever possible.

CAP provides outpatient services designed to support children and families who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma, connecting them with therapeutic care in a safe and supportive setting.

Marysville – WISe Site 

The Marysville site is home to WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services), providing intensive, community-based support for youth with complex behavioral health needs and their families. WISe teams at this location work closely with families, schools, and community partners to help youth remain connected to their homes and communities while receiving the care they need. 

Smokey Point / Arlington 

The Smokey Point site in the Arlington area supports Child and Family Outpatient Services and the Child Advocacy Program (CAP). Teams at this location offer counseling, care coordination, and ongoing behavioral health support for children, youth, and families, working with clients to address mental health needs while remaining rooted in their home communities.

Federal Campus – Everett, WA 

The Federal Campus in Everett is made up of several buildings that support youth services, administrative functions, and system-wide operations across Compass Health. 

Building 1

This building serves as a base for two WISe teams providing intensive, community-based support for youth with complex behavioral health needs and their families.

Through this partnership, one of our Compass Health staff members is embedded at Cocoon House, helping expand access to behavioral health support where young people already feel safe and connected. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to meeting youth where they are and strengthening community-based care through trusted partnerships.

    Compass Health also partners with Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center in Everett, a center dedicated to serving children and adolescents who have experienced abuse and their non-offending family members. Our Child Advocacy Program (CAP) team, based at Dawson Place, provides behavioral health services, helping young people and their families access support in a safe, child-friendly environment. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to meeting kids where they are and ensuring they have access to the care they need.

While teams may not interact directly on a daily basis, they are connected by a shared commitment to supporting people at different moments in their care.
