Camp Outside the Box and Camp Mariposa

Camp Mariposa® Everett is a year-round addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use disorder of a family member. Weekend camps offer fun, traditional camp activities combined with education and support sessions led by mental health professionals and trained adult mentors. Additional social activities are offered for youth and their families throughout the year.

More than 160 youth from our WISe Program take part in “Camp Outside the Box” throughout the summer. Camp Outside the Box is only offered to youth enrolled in the WISe Program. The activities of camp are beneficial to childrens’ treatment, as they provide learning opportunities and address peer relationship building, communication-skills, pro-social behaviors, and self-esteem. Our camp, like our program, is therapeutic and strength-based. Our staff is experienced with the level of care needed to support our youth.
