Everett City Council supports Compass Health’s Broadway Campus Redevelopment with $1 million in ARPA funding

Everett, Wash. – August 2, 2023, the Everett City Council voted to grant $1 million in American Rescue Act of 2021 (ARPA) funding, which helps boost community catalysts to finish out the campaign funding for the second phase of Compass Health’s Broadway Campus Redevelopment, a 72,000-square-foot facility designed to meet the intensive behavioral health needs of Northwest Washington residents.

City leaders joined federal and state lawmakers, as well as philanthropic institutions and private supporters, in helping Compass Health realize its vision for the $64 million facility, which will break ground in fall 2023.

“This generous $1 million in funding from the Everett City Council comes at a pivotal time for our Broadway Campus Redevelopment,” said Tom Sebastian, President & CEO of Compass Health. “We are grateful to Mayor Franklin and the city council for prioritizing the behavioral health of our community and region by investing in this state-of-the-art solution. With local leaders’ support, they are building trust in our project which will move the community to finish out the campaign. We are close to realizing our vision of a Broadway Campus centerpiece designed to respect the life-changing work happening inside, as we address the complex mental health needs of our most vulnerable community members.”
