Housing Hope to Site New Tomorrow’s Hope Child Development Center at Compass Health Federal Avenue Campus

Compass Health is excited to announce the expansion of our 35-year partnership with Housing Hope, an organization that provides affordable housing programs throughout Snohomish County and Camano Island.

Starting this year, Housing Hope will lease the northeast corner of our Federal Avenue Campus in Everett to build its new Tomorrow’s Hope Child Development Center.

For over 30 years, Tomorrow’s Hope has operated out of a former Sizzler’s restaurant building in Everett, providing daycare services for children aged 4 weeks to 12 years. The center primarily supports families who have experienced homelessness, poverty, or other early traumas.

However, with growing demand for high-quality childcare, Tomorrow’s Hope’s current space has outlived its capacity. When looking for a new home, Housing Hope approached Compass Health about building its thoughtfully designed, 20,000-square-foot facility on a portion of our campus that is currently unoccupied. With an opportunity to maximize the use of our location to help fill an urgently unmet need in our community, the collaboration is a natural fit.

Once complete, the new Child Development Center will serve approximately 200 children and their families on a day-use basis. The center will feature:

  • 13 classrooms,
  • Indoor and outdoor play spaces,
  • Areas for children to participate in behavioral health and primary care appointments, and
  • Expanded spaces for Housing Hope’s job training programs, which equip youth and adults with skills to pursue careers in early education.

The project is still in the early stages of development, and construction timelines are being finalized. Stay tuned for more updates!
