Finding Ways to Help: International Overdose Awareness Day
August 30, 2024
Tomorrow, August 31st, marks International Overdose Awareness Day: a day dedicated to remembering those we’ve lost to overdose, supporting those who are struggling, and raising awareness about this critical public health issue.
As a team working within the Behavioral health field, we understand the profound impact that substance use disorder and overdose have on individuals, families, and our communities. The dedication to providing compassionate care and support makes a tangible difference in the lives of those facing these challenges.
Tomorrow, we are taking a moment to reflect on the importance of the work that takes place to avoid the heartbreak of overdose and support those who are affected. Each interaction, each word of encouragement, and each connection made has the power to save lives.
Awareness about overdose prevention, the impact harm reduction strategies, and resources to those in need have are crucial. Remember, there is no shame in asking for help.
This work matters, and together, we can make a meaningful impact. If you are a loved one is in need of help with Substance Use, please visit our pages for more information on treatment with Compass Health.
